“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”1 Timothy 4:12
Ridgeway’s Student Ministry exists to glorify the Lord through connecting teens to Christ and one another through discipleship, hands-on mission opportunities and our times of praise and Bible study. We want to reach students right where they are spiritually. Therefore, we intentionally permeate our student ministry with an atmosphere of fun and evangelism. The Gospel is not for adults only! At Ridgeway, we do not believe that young people are simply the church of tomorrow; they are the church of today! We are regularly doing something different to equip our students and reach their friends. Please come by and check us out!!
“Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”Ecclesiastes 11:9
Salt-N-Light or SNL is the mid-week service for students from grades 6–12. Students can recharge from a grueling week at school by hearing an encouraging and equipping message from God’s Word as well as express their praise and love for Jesus during our worship time. SNL meets each week in the Youth Room/Back Room of our CLC (Christian Life Center) at 6:00 p.m. Just look for the awning on the north, rear side of the building on the south end of our campus. Or, ask someone; they will show you the way!
Life Groups (Sundays)
Life Groups are at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Fellowship and donuts start at 9:00 a.m. then students break off into their Life Groups. Most often our classes are divided by gender and age. Our college students attend a co-ed class.
The most crucial decisions and directions of our lives are often made in teenage and young adult years. At Ridgeway, students are equipped to share their faith and afforded opportunities to do so. Ask some of our students about the local, out of state, and out of country mission endeavors they have experienced.
